JOMP Employer Terms

Effective Date: October 2026•Last Updated: October 2026

1. Employer Eligibility

JOMP is intended for legitimate employers and organisations seeking candidates in Nigeria.

An employer must provide accurate information and complete JOMP's verification process before accessing employer features requiring verification.

2. Employer Verification

The current annual verification fee is ₦15,000.

The verification fee is non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise or JOMP expressly approves a refund.

Verification may require documents including:

  • CAC registration documentation;
  • trademark documentation where applicable;
  • authorised representative identification;
  • business address information;
  • relevant licences;
  • regulatory documents; and
  • other documents reasonably requested by JOMP.

JOMP may verify information through available official or reliable sources.

Submission of documents does not guarantee approval.

3. Verified Employer Status

An approved employer may receive a JOMP verification status or badge.

Verification means that JOMP has completed its stated verification process. It does not constitute a guarantee that:

  • the employer will always act lawfully;
  • every vacancy posted is suitable;
  • the employer will honour every employment offer; or
  • an employment relationship will be successful.

4. Annual Renewal

Employer verification is valid for one year unless suspended or revoked earlier.

An employer may be required to renew verification and pay the applicable annual fee to continue using verification-dependent features.

5. Vacancy Posting

Verified employers may post vacancies at no standard posting fee unless JOMP introduces another pricing model.

Employers must provide accurate vacancy information, including where applicable:

  • job title;
  • duties;
  • required qualifications;
  • required experience;
  • location;
  • employment type;
  • expected working arrangements;
  • relevant salary or compensation information where required;
  • application requirements; and
  • closing date.

Employers must not use JOMP to publish misleading, fraudulent or discriminatory vacancies.

6. Vacancy Boosting

JOMP may provide employers with optional paid promotional services that increase the visibility or reach of a vacancy.

Applicable prices and terms will be displayed before purchase.

Purchasing promotional visibility does not guarantee applications, interviews or employment outcomes.

7. Candidate Applications

Employers may review information submitted by candidates who apply for their vacancies.

Employers must use candidate information only for legitimate recruitment and related employment purposes.

Employers must not sell, redistribute or unlawfully disclose candidate information obtained through JOMP.

8. Document Review

Employers may review candidate CVs, qualifications, work experience, portfolios, skill-assessment certificates and other documents submitted as part of an application.

Employers are responsible for conducting appropriate checks before making an employment decision.

JOMP does not guarantee the authenticity or accuracy of every document submitted by a candidate.

9. Live Video Interviews

Verified employers may use JOMP's live video interview facility.

JOMP provides the technology but does not ordinarily record or store interview sessions.

Employers must conduct interviews professionally and lawfully.

Employers must not use the interview facility to harass, exploit, discriminate against or otherwise abuse candidates.

10. Hiring Decisions

Employers retain responsibility for determining:

  • whether to interview a candidate;
  • whether to accept a candidate;
  • the position offered;
  • salary and benefits;
  • start date;
  • working hours;
  • workplace;
  • employment conditions; and
  • any subsequent employment relationship.

JOMP does not become a party to the employment relationship merely because its platform facilitated the recruitment process.

11. Resumption Information

Where an employer accepts a candidate, the employer may provide resumption information through the designated JOMP system.

The employer is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate and current.

12. Employer Responsibilities

Employers must:

  • comply with applicable Nigerian law;
  • treat candidates fairly and professionally;
  • provide accurate vacancy information;
  • protect candidate information;
  • avoid fraudulent recruitment practices;
  • avoid unlawful discrimination;
  • not demand prohibited payments from candidates;
  • not use JOMP for scams or deceptive schemes; and
  • promptly notify JOMP of material changes affecting their verified status.

13. Prohibited Employer Conduct

An employer must not:

  • post fake vacancies;
  • impersonate another company;
  • submit fraudulent company documents;
  • collect candidate information for unrelated purposes;
  • sell candidate information;
  • demand inappropriate application fees;
  • discriminate unlawfully;
  • harass candidates;
  • misrepresent compensation;
  • use JOMP to recruit for unlawful activity; or
  • circumvent JOMP's security or verification systems.

14. Verification Suspension

JOMP may suspend or revoke employer verification if:

  • documents are fraudulent;
  • information provided is materially false;
  • the employer violates these Terms;
  • the employer engages in fraudulent recruitment;
  • the employer poses a significant risk to candidates or JOMP; or
  • continued access creates a legal, security or compliance concern.

15. No Guarantee of Candidates

JOMP does not guarantee that an employer will receive:

  • applications;
  • qualified applicants;
  • interviews; or
  • successful hires.

16. Fees

The applicable annual verification fee and any optional paid services will be displayed before payment.

Except where required by law or expressly approved by JOMP, fees are non-refundable.

17. Employer Data Protection Responsibilities

Employers are independently responsible for complying with applicable data-protection obligations when processing candidate information.

Employers must take reasonable steps to protect candidate information against unauthorised access, disclosure, loss or misuse.

18. Termination

JOMP may suspend or terminate employer access in accordance with its Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

Suspension or termination does not eliminate obligations that arose before termination.

19. Acceptance

By registering or using employer features, the employer confirms that it accepts these Employer Terms and the JOMP Terms of Service.
